Italy has long been synonymous with luxury fashion, renowned for its craftsmanship, attention to detail, and timeless elegance. As we step into 2026, several Italian luxury designer brands are poised to make waves in the fashion industry. Here are the top 10 Italian luxury designer brands to watch this year:

C.P. Company

Founded in 1971 by Massimo Osti in Bologna, C.P. Company is a trailblazer in technical menswear, blending military-inspired designs with advanced garment-dyeing techniques. The brand’s signature Goggle Jacket, featuring built-in lenses, embodies its ethos of practicality meeting innovation. Each piece is designed with functionality in mind, offering a distinctive edge to urban wardrobes.

The Italian apparel brand recently unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, "The Metropolis Series." Its standout piece is the Pertex Packable Bloom Jacket, which includes practical features such as expandable pockets and an easily packable design.

Miu Miu

Miu Miu is actually a subsidiary of renowned high end fashion brand Prada, having been created by Miuccia Prada in 1993 in Milan. The company specialises in womens’ apparel, with a particular focus on youthfulness and playfulness through the use of unconventional materials and bold designs.

The Italian luxury fashion brand showed off its Spring/Summer 2025 collection late last year, which according to their marketing, examines “early youth as a period of absolute truth.” With cotton as a primary material choice and simplicity a key factor in many of its designs, this philosophy has certainly been adhered to.

Palm Angels

Palm Angels, founded by Francesco Ragazzi in 2015, is a luxury fashion brand that seamlessly blends American street culture with Italian craftsmanship. Initially conceived as a photographic project documenting Los Angeles' skateboarding scene, the brand quickly evolved into a prominent name in the fashion industry.

Their 2025 Spring/Summer collection goes for a more relaxed, effortless vibe, whilst still maintaining the spirited and edgy nature of the Italian fashion brand. Matching sets are a key theme in the collection, although formal and leisure garments have been combined to give off the aura of someone who has escaped their workplace in search of a new-found freedom.

Loro Piana

Loro Piana, founded in 1924 by Pietro Loro Piana, is an Italian luxury fashion brand renowned for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Since 2013, Loro Piana has been a part of the LVMH group, further solidifying its position in the industry. The brand continues to innovate while maintaining its heritage of timeless elegance

Timelessness is the name of the game for the high end brand’s Fall/Winter collection later this year and into 2026. Equestrianism is also a prominent theme, Hunting jackets, parkas and quilted liners have been subtly refined from their horse-riding purposes for contemporary fashion, and the result is simply stunning.

Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta, founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy, is a high end fashion house famous for its impeccable craftsmanship and distinctive design. The brand's signature intrecciato weave technique has become synonymous with elegance and understated luxury.

At Milan Fashion Week last year, Bottega Veneta presented their Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which resonated with the inner child of the audience with a relaxed, not-so-serious approach to work clothing using vibrant colours and a loose fit. With a focus on evoking childlike wonder, Bottega Veneta could be one to watch out for this year.

Stone Island

Massimo Osti also founded Stone Island back in 1982. The brand is celebrated for its pioneering use of fabric technology, including reflective and thermo-sensitive materials. Stone Island's distinctive compass logo and military-inspired designs have made it a staple in streetwear and youth subcultures.

Along with their “Year of the Snake ‘025” collection celebrating the current Zodiac sign in the Chinese calendar, their SS25 collection is fronted by filmmaker Spike Lee, musicians Giggs and John Glacier as well as former footballer Hidetoshi Nakata. This mirrors Stone Island’s wide-ranging influence on pop culture and football.

Missoni

Missoni is one of the oldest Italian luxury fashion brands on this list, having been founded in 1953 by husband and wife designers Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. Celebrated for its distinctive knitwear and iconic zigzag patterns as well as vibrant colour usage, Missoni’s unique designs have made it a staple in high end fashion.

Their womens’ collection for Spring/Summer 2025 shines a spotlight on simplicity, with stripped back colours and simple silhouettes combined with zig-zagging lines embodying strength and energy from the wearer. This will likely resonate with many in the fashion world this year.

Valentino

Valentino, founded in 1960 by Valentino Garavani in Rome, Italy, is a prestigious luxury fashion brand known for its opulent fabrics, intricate embroidery, and a distinctive red hue known as "Valentino Red."

Alessandro Michele was the architect behind Valentino’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, named “Pavillon des Folies”. It draws on the rich and illustrious history of the luxury Italian fashion brand, drawing on historical designs and touching them up to fit into the modern day’s ever-changing fashion landscape.

PDF Channel

PDF Channel, founded by visionary designer Domenico Formichetti, is a cutting-edge fashion brand that redefines urban wear. PDF Channel's collections feature unique elements such as acid washing, bleaching, and laser finishing, creating a distinctive aesthetic. The brand's motto, "IF IT ALREADY EXISTS, IT IS NOT NECESSARY," reflects its commitment to pushing the boundaries of fashion.

The Italian fashion brand made its official runway debut earlier this year to showcase its FW25 collection. Called “United Jam”, the collection is inspired by the 1990’s and 2000’s hip-hop scene, combining the attire popularised during that time with modern snowboarding uniforms and technical mountainside garments of the current generation. The result is a thrilling, head-turning collection which maintains absolute functionality, a combination which has come to epitomise PDF Channel in recent years.

Moncler

Moncler was originally a French fashion brand, but was bought out of near-bankruptcy by Remo Ruffini in 2003. He has since turned Moncler into a global powerhouse in the high end fashion industry and even bought Stone Island for over a billion Euros in 2020. They are renowned for their puffy down jackets.

The high end fashion brand regularly collaborates with other brands and designers, and SS25 will see collabs with Salehe Bembury for trail-ready sneakers and with FRGMT, the latter employing numerical graphics and Y2K references which always prove immensely popular.
